POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th. This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918. The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.
Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world.
People wear red poppies on their clothes. The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
