JANUARY 30

School Day of Non-violence and Peace is celebrated on January 30, the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The message is permanent: " Universal love is better than egoism, non-violence is better than violence, and peace is better than war".

POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
