Thanksgiving Day, an annual national holiday in the United States and Canada, celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Families get together for a feast or a large meal. Almost all families eat turkey, potatoes and cranberry sauce and have pumpkin pie for dessert.

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
