The Oscars

 

The 94th Academy Awards ceremony took place on Sunday 27th March. Yes, CODA won the award for Best Picture and Jane Campion (THE POWER OF THE DOG)  got it for Best Directing.

 However,  as all of you will probably know, Will Smith , who won the Oscar for Best Actor in a leading role , really stole the show.

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
