              ‘Remember, remember the fifth of November’


5th November: Bonfire Night , a.k.a. Guy Fawkes Day is celebrated in the UK, and in other countries that were part of the British empire, with fireworks , parades and bonfires and ragdolls which are burnt on the fire.

It's a tradition that started with a historic event.Guy Fawkes was the man that tried and failed to kill king James Iand blow up the Houses of Parliament in the 16th century

The Guy Fawkes mask is worn by V in V for Vendetta. It is also connected with the online hacktivist movement Anonymous, famous for its antiestablishment protests.

POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
