Breaking the code

 

Switzerland has won the 68th Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'The Code' performed by Nemo, the first nonbinary person to win Eurovision.  This year’s contest was dominated by political tensions over Israel’s participation.

When accepting their prize, Nemo said: "I hope this contest can live up to its promise, and continue to stand up for PEACE” . Peace will always prevail.

POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
