  International School Day of Non Violence and Peace
January 30 is the International School Day of Non-Violence and Peace. It honors Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948), a leader from India who defended and promoted non-violence and peaceful resistance against injustice. He was sadly killed for standing up for these peaceful ideas.

POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
