Stop bullying

 

School should be a safe place.

The recent news about Sandra Peña has reminded us of something we must never ignore, the silent pain many children and teenagers suffer because of bullying. It can happen anywhere: at school, on the Internet, or even among friends . No one deserves to feel small.

If you see someone being treated badly, speak up or talk to someone, a teacher, a counselor, a friend.Respect should be the rule.

                     Kindness is always stronger than cruelty.

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.

                                                                       5 th November : Bonfire Night , a.k.a. Guy Fawkes Day. It is celebrated in the UK, and in other countries that were formerly part of the British empire, with f ireworks , parades and bonfires with ragdolls which are burnt on the fire. But, who was Guy Fawkes ?  Guy Fawkes was the man that tried and failed to kill the king  James Iand blow up the Houses of Parliament in the 16th century.
