Sapphire

 


The British singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, is back. His single "Sapphire” was released on 5 June 2025, from Sheeran’s upcoming album Play. He mixes British pop with Indian musical influences.

The song uses the image of a sapphire as a celebration of love and joy  to describe someone who shines brightly, someone special. It also shows how music can cross cultures.

POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
