Human rights
Human Rights Day is marked every year on December 10 to commemorate the day in 1948 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The theme this year is : 'Our Everyday Essentials' . It reminds us that human rights are connected to the basic things we need every day. Clean water, food, a safe home, education, and healthcare are not special gifts or privileges. They are rights that everyone should have. These basic things help us live with dignity, equality, and freedom.
