Remembering David Bowie

 

Did you know that today, January 10th, is a very important day in music history? It is the 10th anniversary of the death of David Bowie, one of the most famous British singers ever.

He was one of the most original, innovative and influential rock stars in music history. He was also an actor and a fashion icon. Bowie taught us that it is okay to be different . He wasn't afraid to be unique and creative.

His most famous character was Ziggy Stardust, an alien rock star from space who came to save Earth through music

POPPY DAY

Remembrance Day is on November 11th . This is a very special day because it marks the end of World War One in 1918 . The war officially ended at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – that means 11:00 a.m. on November 11th.  Every year British people come together to remember those who died in wars across the world. People wear red poppies on their clothes.The red poppy became a symbol of Remembrance Day because they grew on the battlefields.
